Benefits of a TECHNOCASH Remittance Card:

The TECHNOCASH Remittance Card provides a user friendly remittance service to the Philippines for Filipinos living or working in Australia. Payments can be made conveniently using internet banking or cash over the counter at any National Australia Bank branch Australia-wide. When depositing over the counter tell the operator to enter you card number in the reference - it is essential they insert this information - so insist they do.

Once you have deposited the funds, you do not need to do anything else. Technocash will manage the whole transaction from there on. Next business day funds arriving will be identified and remittance processing will begin.

The remitter does not need to have a bank account or use the internet, however we do provide daily rates on our website. You also have the option of logging in to your account to check your payment history. If you wish to do this please contact Technocash so we can email your login details to you.

The beneficiary does not need to have a bank account or use the internet. The beneficiary can receive the money to their bank account in Peso or USD, by a local cheque or personal cash delivery to their door, or by pick-up at a BPI branch. Providing the maximum PESO's remitted is our emphasis. We make every effort to ensure the shortest time possible delivery time within the restrictions of bank reporting and cut-of times. We are ideal for non-urgent regular remittances.

You can have more than one TECHNOCASH Remittance Card. This means that you can conveniently send money to any number of beneficiaries. Many people can have a card for the same beneficiary. Having more than one card allows you to send money to the same beneficiary by different means, for example use one TECHNOCASH Remittance Card to send money to a bank account, and use another Card to deliver money to your beneficiary's door. This means that your loved ones in the Philippines can be sent money from any of their family and friends. All you do is deposit funds with a different reference.

Risks:

Risks associated with the TECHNOCASH Remittance Card are summarised below.

It is extremely important that your TECHNOCASH Remittance Card sends money to the correct beneficiary. The application form is used by TECHNOCASH on an ongoing basis, so you must ensure the correct details are put on the form. If you have to change or update any information you must promptly provide this information to TECHNOCASH. To provide remittances for any nominated beneficiary the full and correct bank account or delivery address must be provided. If this is not done remittances may fail or be paid to the wrong person. TECHNOCASH may contact you on the phone numbers provided to make corrections if errors are detected. You must ensure that your own contact information is correct.

Remittance cards are not able to take advantage of Australia Post collections and thus are not provided a Barcode. If any deposit is somehow made at Australia Post outlets using a Remittance card the funds will be refunded and a handling fee of $10.00 will be deducted. Please consult with Technocash to inform us of your prefered location of depositing remittance funds so that we can improve our services.

If you discover that you have initiated a remittance to an incorrect bank account or delivery address or that you have sent an incorrect amount of money, you may be able to cancel the remittance at any point up until Technocash processes the remittance but at no point thereafter by contacting Technocash during business hours. TECHNOCASH systems are based on irrevocable payments.

As remittances will involve sending Australian dollars to arrive in the Philippines in the equivalent Peso or USD value (less applicable remittance fees), you should refer to the rates being offered in relation to any days remittance. Exchange rates shall be based closely upon indicative Filipino and Australian bank rates to provide the best service possible for our customers; they are updated on a daily basis and published on Technocash's website. The actual remittance rate may vary slightly from published rates for USD remittances.

To remit a specific amount to the beneficiary you will need to carefully consider the rates and fees to ensure the desired amount arrives.

TECHNOCASH operates within the clearing, reporting and processing times of the Australian banking system and our Filipino bank resources, and attempts consistent delivery timing but cannot guarantee that delays will not occur. The TECHNOCASH remittance service is not suitable where instantaneous delivery is required.

If your remittance activity reaches certain transaction value thresholds in a given time period, it may be necessary for Technocash to confirm your identity and other personal details. Your Remittance card may be subject to periodic transaction limits if your identity has not been fully verified.
